Gianluca Peluso, from Cilento to Sicily on a Vespa: «A beautiful adventure»

Setting out to discover Sicily on two wheels may seem like a bold undertaking, but for Gianluca Pelusofrom Cilento Acquavenafraction of Roccagloriosa, it was an exciting adventure. On May 1st, Labor Day, Gianluca set off from Cilento, together with his partner, heading towards Messina, his first objective. Despite the pouring rain that characterized the outward journey, the young Vespa rider did not let himself be discouraged.

From Messina, his itinerary took him through picturesque Sicilian landscapes, with stops in Cefalù, Palermo, Agrigento, Ragusa, Ortigia, Catania, Taormina and finally Tropea. During his trip, Gianluca was able to admire the natural and cultural beauties of the island, discovering numerous points in common with his beloved Cilento.

«It was an exciting journey to discover the beauties of Sicily», says Gianluca. «Despite the adverse weather conditions, I was able to appreciate the richness of this land and the ties we share with Cilento». After just over a week riding his Vespa, Gianluca returned home on May 9th, but he doesn’t intend to stop there.

«Now I’m planning other similar trips around Italy», he reveals enthusiastically. The passion for adventure and discovery continues to drive Gianluca, who can’t wait to travel again in search of new experiences and destinations to explore.
