Six matches took place today in Serie A2 with closed series, games decided at the last shot and important victories. Playoffs that close all the series, none will go to game 5, the framework for the semi-finals has therefore already been decided: in the Silver Draw we will have Trapani-Verona on one side and Rieti-Fortitudo Bologna on the other; in the Gold Scoreboard Forlì-Trieste is the first semi-final, Udine-Cantù, a very interesting match, the second. Nardò returns to victory in the Salvation Phase, distancing himself from Chiusi, but Luiss Roma doesn’t give up and wins, remaining -6 behind the Apulians who beat Latina, the Lazio team now have 12 points to recover with only 14 available, it will take more than a business. VIGEVANO – FORLI’ 69-95 (1-3)
As with Piacenza, Vigevano fails to take the series to game 5, Forlì easily wins the match, decided by a dominant second quarter, 11-30 the partial for the guests, Vigevano no longer manages to get back into the game and must give up 69-85. Semifinal won for Forlì who will now face Trieste, the only team that won the series with home advantage against them, among other things with a clear 3-0 against Turin. Johnson decisive for Forlì, double double of 16 points and 11 rebounds; the best in Vigevano is Rossi, 14 points for him.

CIVIDALE – CANTU’ 72-74 (1-3)
Cividale tries until the end but Redivo’s three-pointer goes in and out of the basket, giving the victory and the semi-finals to a Cantù team that had to sweat a lot to reach this goal. Match managed by the guests but Cividale manages to come back in the final part of the match with a partial of 13-7 but Moraschini’s triple gives Cantù the lead with 50 seconds left, Miani scores 2/2 on free throws but Baldi Rossi is less precise , 72-74, Redivo tries to score even if marked by two but the triple goes in and out of the rim, it ends like this. Cantù which therefore enters the semi-finals and now access to the final will be played against Udine, but congratulations to Cividale who in this second part of the season has surprised everyone by never giving up and winning 11 of the last 14 matches. MVP Moraschini with 25 points, Redivo and Rota the best of the yellow and blue, both 17 points.

SALVATION PHASE
CENTO – CLOSED 62-47
Domination by Cento who manages to keep Chiusi to less than 50 points who, after having tied the game at 25-25 halfway through the second quarter, suffers a 13-0 run between the end of the second and the beginning of the third period, Chiusi then wakes up and seems managing to recover by concluding the third quarter at 46-41. Nothing accomplished, Cento allowed only one shot from the field to his opponents, the triple of 54-44, and with a run of 12-3 he won the match 62-47. Now the hosts see salvation close by going to +10 from Chiusi, the first pursuer, with only 16 points available for the Tuscans. Palumbo was the best of Cento, 11 points and 8 rebounds, while Possamai put a damper on Chiusi’s bad performance, 8 points and 12 rebounds for him.

NARDO’ – LATINA 66-60
The hosts started very well and at the end of the first quarter went to +11, Latina then started to recover but only went to -7. At the start of the second half, with a mini-partial of 5-0, the Lazio team got back to within -2 but Nardò then woke up and began to extend, taking the right gap to maintain until the siren, result 66-60. Important victory for Nardò who recovers after two defeats and extends from Chiusi, now 4 points away; Latina now needs more than one feat to stay in Serie A2, the points available for the Lazio team are only 14 and the gap from the Apulian team is 10 points. Alipiev led Nardò with 15 points and 5 rebounds, Stewart Jr. was the last to give up among Latina’s ranks, 20 points and 5 rebounds.

LUISS ROME – AGRIGENTO 85-61
Luiss is alive and proves it with a display of character: down 4-12 in the first quarter, the hosts begin to rack up points, drawing the game and then extending the lead in the second quarter with a run of 28-13. Agrigento tries to make a comeback in the second half but the fourth period ends the match, 15-3 partial and a home victory 85-61. Two fundamental points for Luiss who are now putting pressure on Chiusi, they will face each other to recover the first day, and they do not lose to Nardò, still 6 points away. MVP and absolute driving force Sabin, 38 points with 10/13 from the field, including 7/10 from three, which overshadows Salvioni’s double double, 10 points and 11 rebounds; Ambrosin was the least worse in Agrigento, 15 points and 7 rebounds, together with the usual Polakovich, 6 points and 15 rebounds.
