There are 9 business projects by as many proponents of Orsara di Puglia financed under the PNRR, intervention 2.1 “Attractiveness of the Villages”, Action Line C, for a total investment in the Orsara area of over 600 thousand euros.
The projects were promoted and financed through public notice n.497 for “support for entrepreneurial initiatives carried out in the municipalities assigned resources for the implementation of cultural and social regeneration projects of small historic villages”.
“It is one of the best results among those achieved in the whole of Puglia”, declares the mayor Mario Simonelli. “These are projects relating to digitalisation, innovation, competitiveness and culture in the tourism and cultural sector. The measure, in fact, concerns the regeneration of small cultural sites, of the cultural, religious and rural heritage of Orsara di Puglia”.
“The Municipality of Orsara di Puglia”adds Simonelli, “intended to seize the opportunity of the Pnrr to strengthen the business-services-tourism trinomial, focusing above all on the creation of entrepreneurial opportunities and development jobs based on the vocations of its territory. Over 600 thousand euros will be invested in this direction, giving strength and new life to a work that we are carrying out with great determination to allow our young people to continue building their future here”.
“And this is precisely what I will talk about on Tuesday 14 May, in Pietramontecorvino, during the day of proposals and discussion on ‘Lucera and Monti Dauni capitals of culture of Puglia 2025’ which will be held in the Palazzo Ducale starting from 4.30 pm. In addition to promoting the wonder of the historical-artistic and cultural heritage of Lucera, the program of the ‘Capital of Culture of Puglia 2025’ will have to enhance the “melting pot” of cultures, human-architectural and naturalistic landscapes of the 29 municipalities of the Dauni Mountains; the genius loci expressed by the historical-identifying events of the villages. Orsara di Puglia is ready to do its part, starting with the work we have produced over the years and which we want to further strengthen on events such as the Fucacoste and Cocce Priatorje, the Orsarese Food and Wine Gallery and all the tradition and places of interest linked to the cult of Saint Michael the Archangel”.
