Ideas, enthusiasm and participation, yesterday morning in Modica, for the presentation of the candidates for the European elections on 8 and 9 June. Patrizio Cinque, Antonella Di Prima, Virginia Farruggia, Matilde Montaudo, Antonino Randazzo (Giuseppe Antoci was not there due to other institutional commitments) had the opportunity to illustrate to a large and attentive audience their stories of political and civic commitment which represent the wealth of the Sicilian 5 Star Movement and above all its own programs.
Together with them, the regional coordinator Nuccio Di Paola, the national parliamentarian Filippo Scerra, the regional deputy Stefania Campo and the provincial coordinator Federico Piccitto who presented and moderated the debate. Also present were the parliamentarian Daniela Morfino and the regional deputies Luigi Sunseri and Martina Ardizzone, the municipal councilor Sergio Firrincieli, the representatives of the territorial groups of the province and many activists and supporters from every municipality in the province. “We are really satisfied with the participation we had and I thank the Modica territorial group for organizing the event – says Piccitto – The 5 Star Movement is experiencing a new impetus starting from the territories and we see this every day. We are convinced that our battle, as well as against a centre-right which penalizes the South and Sicily in particular more and more every day, must be against abstentionism, which unfortunately penalizes above all the progressive forces of this country. Our task must therefore be to promote participation in the vote as much as possible to provide representation truly capable of making the voice of the territory forcefully heard.”
