Aurora Russo’s goal: “Prepare myself as best I can for an Olympic medal”
“The meet where I really started to believe I could do it was the 3rd place meet,” he said Aurora Russo to the official Filjkam website. “I felt good, I was calm and after winning I was aware that there was only one last match left to make my lifelong dream come true and I was more excited than ever.”
“I want to dedicate this result first of all to the Army sports group, which has never left me alone and has always supported me through thick and thin, then to my family, to my boyfriend, to the Federation, to my team that helps me it gave immense strength throughout the competition, to Cus Torino where I grew up, to my coaches and to all the people who made all this possible by supporting me. But I want to make a special dedication to Lucio Caneva who unfortunately passed away, he always believed so much in me and I am sure that yesterday he was there on that carpet with me and helped me realize this great dream of mine.”
