“On the Casa Serena case, I can safely say that the Prefectural Commissioner was right to appeal the TAR ruling which had condemned the Municipality of Rovigo to pay €3,200,000.00 to IRAS”

“I perceive the advantage of expressing judgments as a representative of a civic list. I don’t need to be for or against political parties with the interest of the City as my sole objective.”. It is with these words that Ezio Conchicandidate for mayor of Rovigo, presents his reflection on the future of the city.

“On the Casa Serena case, I can safely say that the Prefectural Commissioner was right to challenge the TAR ruling which had condemned, among other things, the Municipality of Rovigo to pay €3,200,000.00 to IRAS – explains Conchi -. It is well known that in the absence of an appeal to the Council of State, the TAR ruling no. 304/2023 would have become final with the impossibility, then, of cultivating any negotiation or dialogue. In fact, if the sentence had become final, IRAS would have had every right, if not the obligation, to have the municipality pay the huge sum. Under penalty of treasury damage.”

And he concludes: “Now everything can return to the negotiating table and this is what a healthy Administration must do to prevent a large structure like Casa Serena from becoming another urban void”.
