CALTANISSETTA – Tragic accident road last night on State road 626 Gela-Caltanissetta. The balance and of two killed and four injured.
The accident occurred at kilometer 4. According to initial information, a young man driving a Citroen collided with a vehicle, a small van, which was traveling on the opposite road. The impact was very strong and the car was torn in two.
One was driving the other vehicle 36 year old womanwho died instantly together with the young man who was driving the car. Wounds Instead four people. Among these there is one 31 year old woman, who was traveling in the Citroen, in serious condition; she was transported by air ambulance toSant’Elia hospital in Caltanissetta. Aboard the van in which the deceased woman was travelling, there was also a 41 years oldtransported in serious conditions in Enna hospital.
The exact dynamics of the accident are not yet clear.
The accident occurred shortly after 10.30 pm; Numerous emergency vehicles from the traffic police, firefighters and the 118 emergency health service intervened on site.
A treatment of the road was closed to the traffic in both directions.
