Nettuno, police officers pretend to be Enel technicians and enter the suspect’s house where they find weapons and drugs.
A 47 year old from Nettuno he was thus arrested by officers of the Anzio/Nettuno Police Station.
The police suspected an ongoing drug trade in which the suspect was involved. At least these were the findings of a specific investigation. Now it was necessary to find the damning evidence with a search.
The stratagem of the agents of the Anzio-Nettuno police station
To have the door opened, the agents pretended to be ENEL personnel responsible for checking electricity consumption. The 47-year-old, without suspecting anything, therefore opened the door of his house and let them in. At this point the officers revealed their identities and began to carry out a thorough search.
A certain quantity of narcotic substance was found and seized.
Hidden in a jar were 16 white plastic wrappers containing cocaine. In another jar there were 6 aluminum foil wrappers and transparent paper containing hashish.
The search then moved to the 47-year-old’s garage. Here, inside a wardrobe, a carton was found containing 7 plastic bottles full of a liquid substance such as methadonefor a total weight of almost 800 grams.
But in addition to the various types of narcotic substances, the police also found various weapons. Also in the garage closet was a box containing a Beretta 22 gauge complete with magazine with 9 cartridges, 11 other loose bullets, a second empty magazine and a rifle case containing a 12 gauge shotgun, Bernardelli brand, without ammunition. Both weapons were later found to be the proceeds of theft.
The search also led to the discovery of a sum of cash, 1 precision scale and the material used to package the doses.
The man, from Neptune, was therefore arrested. The Velletri Prosecutor’s Office then requested and obtained confirmation of the arrest from the Judge for Preliminary Investigations.
The charge to which the 47-year-old will have to answer is possession for the purpose of dealing drugs, receiving stolen goods and illegal possession of weapons.
