The Calabria PGI Consortiumwith the patronage of the Municipality of Corigliano Rossano and the support of the Calabria Region and the Ministry of Agriculture, is pleased to announce the presentation event of the New Production Regulations for Calabria PGI Clementines. The event will be held on Tuesday 14 May at 6pm in the evocative setting of the Hall of Mirrors of the Ducal Castle.
The presentation of the new regulations is of crucial importance in the context of the valorisation and protection of the agricultural heritage of our region. The Calabria PGI Consortium, with the support of the Region and the Ministry, has worked diligently to introduce significant innovations aimed at guaranteeing and further improving the quality and authenticity of Calabria PGI Clementines. Among the most important innovations of the new specification are rigorous criteria and high standards which aim to preserve and promote the unique and unmistakable characteristics of this prized fruit. This renewal process was subjected to the careful supervision of a technical committee of industry experts, thus guaranteeing an approach based on science and experience.
The event will see the participation of eminent institutional figures, including ministerial representatives and the agriculture department of the Calabria Region, who will share with the members of the Consortium the importance of this significant step towards excellence in agricultural production. To facilitate participation in the great event, the organization has set up a shuttle service that will connect the town of S. Antonio to the Ducal Castle, thus offering a convenient and safe access opportunity for all participants. The Calabria PGI Consortium hopes for massive participation from agricultural sector operators, journalists, food sector experts and all those who share the passion for excellence in agricultural production.
