At the D’Ippolito in Lamezia Terme the hosts Vigor Lamezia and Cittanova compete in the regional final of the Calabrian Excellence playoffs
Vigor Lamezia, after missing the semi-finals having more than ten points (15) on the fifth, Digiesse Praiatortora, faces Cittanova, a 3-1 winner over Soriano.
Cittanova got off to a good start in the 11th minute with Costa shooting high from outside.
After two minutes the first green and white attempt with Foderaro who heads the goalkeeper to the ground following a Curcio corner.
The match is played in midfield, in the 33rd minute the guests ring from outside but Columbro is attentive.
In the 35th minute Bernardi shoots from a good position, but Palumbo blocks.
In the 41st minute, Vigor takes the lead with its captain, Foderaro, who scores on De Fazio’s amazing play.
At the end of the half the green and whites doubled their lead thanks to a penalty by Curcio for a knockdown by Bernardi.
We go to the changing rooms. In the second half Vigor puts their foot on the accelerator and in the 9th minute they find the 3-0 with the former Spanò who collects a cross from the right and volleys a shot towards the opposite post, piercing Palumbo.
Some skirmishes on the pitch due to Spanò’s celebration, which was not appreciated by his former teammates. Yellow for the scorer and Condemi, red for a guest manager.
Vigor walks on the velvet and finds the fourth goal in the 20th minute with Amendola who receives it from Foderaro and kicks with first intention, mocking the Cittanova goalkeeper.
Cittanovese tries to attack in search of the winning goal but the match ends here.
Vigor Lamezia reaches the next round, Sunday 26 May against Bisceglie.
