Celebration of the 172nd Anniversary of the Foundation of the State Police at the Royal Palace of Portici
Today, the State Police commemorates its 172nd anniversary since its establishment with a solemn ceremony to be held in the magnificent setting of the Royal Palace of Portici.
The celebrations will begin at 8.30 with the laying of a laurel wreath at the Altar of the Fallen of the Naples Police Headquarters, located in via Diaz, in the presence of the Prefect of Naples.
At 10.30, the ceremony will begin with the performance of the National Anthem performed by the Children’s Choir of the Teatro di San Carlo, directed by teacher Stefania Rinaldi. During the event, messages from the President of the Republic, the Minister of the Interior and the Chief of Police – Director General of Public Security will be read.
Subsequently, the Police Commissioner of Naples will give a celebratory speech, followed by the screening of an institutional video in honor of the 172nd Anniversary and the presentation of prizes to State Police personnel who have distinguished themselves for particular merits.
The ceremony will conclude with a musical performance, after which guests will have the opportunity to visit the external spaces of the Palace, specially set up to reflect the variety of Specialties of the State Police.
