Treviso, farewell to the entrepreneur Lorenzo Marinese | Today Treviso | News


TREVISO – Lorenzo Marinese, entrepreneur and man of vision, passed away on Friday evening: he passed away at the age of 86. Known for his resourcefulness and generosity, Marinese has left an indelible mark on the Treviso community and beyond.

Born in Sicily, Marinese embraced a wide range of interests and opportunities from a young age, driven by a fervent curiosity and unparalleled determination. After studying law, he began a work adventure in Africa.

Upon returning home, he found success in civil aviation, leading airlines and contributing to the development of the sector. However, his heart was in Africa, where he dedicated years to building hospitals and vital infrastructure for local communities.

Having moved to Veneto in the 1990s, he continued to leave his mark as an entrepreneur in the construction and real estate sector, carrying out projects of social and cultural relevance. Among his best-known deeds, the restoration of important historic buildings and the rescue of the Venezia Calcio football teamdemonstrating an ongoing commitment to his adopted region.

His passing leaves a void in the fabric of the Treviso community. His funeral will be held on Monday 13 May in the church of Santa Maria Maggiore in Treviso. He leaves in mourning his wife Adriana, his sons Vincenzo, Cristiano, Gian Lorenzo and Rugiada, his sisters Mariella, Emilia and Lucia, his daughters-in-law Annachiara, Chiara and Gloria, his son-in-law Diego, his grandchildren Lorenzo, Carolina, Gregorio, Ginevra, Costanza and Mariasole.
