“Ausl Imola bringing up the rear for diagnostic-therapeutic care pathways: is corporate autonomy at risk?”. This is asked by the municipal and regional councilor of the League, Daniele Marchetti, who makes known a “worrying response” that emerged following his access to regional documents concerning the Imola health authority.

From this response it emerges that Imola, “unlike other local health authorities, has not initiated revisions of the diagnostic-therapeutic care pathways, with the exception of that relating to breast cancer”. This scenario, deemed “alarming” by Marchetti, was “particularly highlighted considering that an overall review of the PDTAs at regional level was recently proposed and approved, in order to guarantee innovative and quality assistance”, continues the Northern League member.

In response to the question presented by Marchetti, the regional councilor for Health, Raffaele Donini recently declared that “working group activities are planned for the development of new PDTAs, including those for autoimmune diseases, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS ) and multiple sclerosis”.

However, continues Marchetti, “it remains uncertain whether these initiatives will be managed independently by the Imola Local Health Authority or in collaboration with Bologna. This uncertainty – concludes the Northern League member – raises questions about the possible reduction of Imola’s corporate autonomy, an aspect that will be carefully monitored”.
