FANO It is the charge of 340. There are many candidates for the municipal council of Fano for the administrative elections of 8 and 9 June; 340 for 25 seats as many as there are seats in the civic assembly: 24 councilors plus the mayor. In the provincial panorama, the Fano elections are characterized by the division of the broad front of the centre-left, the so-called broad camp which in the two capital cities, Pesaro and Urbino, presents itself united in the challenge with the centre-right (albeit with the variables of other accredited candidates of less consensus).

Ten years of center-left

Luca Serfilippi, 37 years old, sales manager at Profilglass (on leave for the role of regional councillor), leads the united centre-right with the aim of regaining the Municipality and creating an axis of political homogeneity with the Acquaroli regional council and the national government Melons. His is an attempt to leap 10 years into the future, given that he was already a young councilor in former mayor Aguzzi’s council.

This is supported by 5 lists of which the Fano civic changes pace should give it an added value of votes. Then there are the allies in the Region: FdI, Lega, Forza Italia (with UDC and Noi moderates) and Civici Fano. In total 119 councilor candidates. On the contrary, Cristian Fanesi, 47 years old, an engineer at Saipem (himself on leave for the current role of deputy mayor), tries to continue the experience of the center-left administration of mayor Seri, claiming a clear improvement in the city for works and services over the last decade. He too is supported by 5 lists, including the civic one that bears his name designed to round up faces beyond the catchment area of his party, the Democratic Party. Participating in the coalition are Mascarin’s left, the civic aggregation created by Massimo Seri 10 years ago and the do-it-yourself list of Cora Fattori, regional manager of +Europa, for a total of 100 councilor candidates.

The third wheel (especially for Fanesi) is Stefano Marchegiani, 67 years old, a retired architect and teacher with structured political experience, who is the mayoral candidate of a very assorted alliance. He too applies the rule of 5 for the lists, fielding 118 councilor candidates. He is the municipal secretary of Action but the symbol of his party does not appear in the list he created, The Fano we want, which also includes European republicans and exponents of the Fano neighborhood. Supporting him is Europa Verde in alliance with Fano Ribella, the PSI which welcomes some young pan-Europeanists from Volt, Bene Comune and the 5 Star Movement, the political force which brings the greatest number of votes. Even though the election campaign was a bit tense, the outcome of the polls appears somewhat uncertain.
