Will the Northern Lights also set the sky of Trani on fire? The “peak” of the phenomenon is expected tonight

If the forecasts are right, we can say that this weekend in the sky of Trani – between the Frecce Tricolori during the day and the Northern Lights between the evening and the night – all colors will have been seen. But let’s remain cautious, even if scientific sites believe there is a high probability that from the evening until late at night between one and two o’clock the magnetic storm of the sun could cause a phenomenon similar to that of the aurora borealis which literally set the skies on fire even throughout Italy from North to South, up to Puglia, where the sky, from Gargano to Salento, was tinged with extraordinary shades of red and pink.
The forecasts therefore look promising. In fact, it is important to know that with the polar auroras they come in waves and are not constant. There is no “maximum peak”, with each arrival of a CME (first the front and then the bulk, the central heart) the storm increases in degree. You should be vigilant as long as you hold out and wait, the Northern Lights could suddenly explode!
The phenomenon that colored the skies of Italy yesterday evening, Friday 10 May, is due to a strong geomagnetic storm that hit the Earth, causing the spectacle of auroras even at low latitudes. It must be said that since it was photographed in Bisceglie it is possible that it also appeared in the sky of Trani, but evidently we were all asleep: the announcement of a new possibility, of a second chance, will perhaps keep us alert starting from 10pm , ready to fill your eyes with these intense pinks and reds that have dazzled thousands of people for the first time in these parts.
