“Spiritual paths in existential distress”. The in-depth analysis with HE Monsignor Giovanni Checchinato on Tuesday 14 May at Palazzo dei Bruzi
“Spiritual paths in existential distress” is the theme of the conference promoted and organized by the health department, led by Maria Teresa De Marco, scheduled for next Tuesday, May 14, at 6 pm in the Representative Hall of Palazzo dei Bruzi. The initiative, moderated by Emmanuela Rovito and which will be opened by the mayor Franz Caruso and concluded by HE Monsignor Giovanni Checchinato, metropolitan archbishop of Cosenza Bisignano, will host the interventions of the councilor Maria Teresa De Marco, of Mimmo Frammartino, president of the culture commission of Municipality of Cosenza, by Giuseppe Barbarossa, doctor and journalist, by Rosa Ciacco, philosophical consultant and existential counselor, by Angelo Palatucci, writer and footballer of the Transplanted national team and by Francesco Muro, theologian teacher.
“We continue to deal with a significant problem of our society, with the fundamental contribution of our Bishop, Monsignor Checchinato, who is also very sensitive to these issues – say the mayor Franz Caruso and the councilor Maria Teresa De Marco – The internal and existential discomfort is, in fact, a very widespread and worrying condition in the society we live in, based on appearance rather than spirituality and being. A spiritual crisis, moreover, can itself be the origin of a malaise that cannot and must not leave us indifferent, but which, on the contrary, must be paid attention to and understood. These are delicate and complex issues, which must be explored and brought to the attention of the masses so that the resulting pathologies can be easily recognized and, therefore, addressed and resolved. With this objective we are promoting public debate and dialogue, aware that only if emotional distress is known and accepted can it be addressed and treated.”
At the end of the evening, the president of the Culture commission of Palazzo dei Bruzi, Domenico Frammartino, will award the Culture Award for the book “Between Dream and Reality: Doctor Cresta di Gallo and his magical world”.
