From Friday 17th to Sunday 19th Mayto Halfcrown returns again this year Teroldego exhibitiona wine event dedicated to the prince of Trentino reds whose first strains – according to a local legend – were born from the drops of blood of the dragon that tyrannised the Rotaliana Plain. The location is once again suggestive court of Palazzo Martiniin the heart of the village, of which Teroldego certainly represents the most identifying product.

The event is organized by Pro Loco of Mezzocorona in collaboration with Piana Rotaliana-Köningsberg Tourist Consortium and with the support of Trentino Wine and Flavor Routein addition to the involvement of the wine professional associations AIS and ONAV.

L’inaugurationscheduled at 6.00pm on Friday, will open a three-day event in which technical moments will alternate with convivial moments. In particular, Three the masterclasses on the calendar. The first on Friday at 5.30 pm entitled “Years compared, 2011-2021, evolution or revolution” conducted by Roberto Anesi, best AIS sommelier 2017. Followed by the appointment on May 18th, 2.00 pm, organized by Teroldego Evolution “The different refinements of Teroldego: from wood, to cement, to steel, to ceramics, to amphora“, while on Sunday, at 10.00, it will be ONAV’s turn with “Teroldego Prince Wine of the Piana Rotaliana”, in which three rosé versions will be proposed, three classic and three overripe for a guided comparison.

However, the most awaited moment remainsTeroldego Rotaliano 2023 previewwith tasting tables managed by the producers themselves to offer the barrel tests of the last cellared vintage. The special occasion is from 4pm to 7pm on Saturday afternoon.

Alongside these opportunities for in-depth study, the wine bar managed by AIS staffwith beyond 30 labels of Teroldego Rotaliano it’s a selection of cocktails based on grappa and other local spirits, combined with finger food of local restaurants: 3Cime Restaurant on Friday evening and Hotel Cafè Centrale Restaurant on Saturday. The atmosphere is guaranteed by the live music of Duo Gloves and Ina Pross.

Sunday morning space for culture, with guided tours in the rooms of Palazzo Martini curated by Margherita Faes, from 9.30 to 12.30, while from 12.00 to 15.00 it will be the turn of good food with “Teroldego&Sapori a palazzo”, typical lunch based on potato tortel.
