Enthusiasm is growing for the second appointment of the Trapani Gallery Night art exhibition. On Saturday 18 May, from 6pm to 10pm, the artists and those working in the visual arts sector open their doors to the public.

The Trapani Gallery Night (TGN) is the monthly event in which institutions that exhibit and sell art come together to create a unique attraction. It is an initiative to promote members’ profiles, drive sales and grow a larger audience for future events. Gallery Night is a very popular event that takes place in most European cities.

The participants in the TGN are: 122 Ricami, Magazzini dell’arte Contemporanea, Leonardo da Vinci Colomba Art Laboratory, Studio Pietro Barbera, Studio Enzo Tardia and Studio Peppe Occhipinti.

The organizers were the creative director Valentina Guarneri of the art studio 122 Ricami and the art critic Anda Klavina of the Galleria Magazzini dell’Arte Contemporanea.

On the evening of April 18th from 5pm to 9pm the art galleries and artists’ studios will open their doors to visitors. Among them the artists Enzo Tardia and Gaspare Occhipinti.

Here is all the information

Enzo Tardia, in his studio with the exhibition “Small but precious”: exhibition of works by the master himself and by Ignazio Mazzeo. Special guest will be the art critic Tanino Bonifacio who will hold a dialogue with the public at 7pm and 9pm together with the journalist Martina Emanuela Palermo.

The exhibition created with small-format works was conceived to create a creative dialogue between two artists who express different poetic languages in their painting. The art critic Tanino Bonifacio briefly describes the poetics of the two painters as follows: The rational pictorial geometries of Enzo Tardia are labyrinthine places, they are roads, enchanted landscapes in which to travel and stop to discover surprising symbolic universes full of amazement and wonder.

Ignazio Mazzeo’s painting is populated by purely dreamlike “objects” and iconographic elements that create a chromatic, psychological and existential parallel world. A “Neo-Surrealism” in which the play of imagination without boundaries is the essence of his painting. An exhibition to see and experience with the feeling of wonder to breathe moments of beauty.

Gaspare Occhipinti, will open the doors of his home – studio in Dattilo. Special guest will be the well-known musician Nicola Giammarinaro.

The works presented will be sculptures, drawings and paintings of small and medium format. The possibility of communicating with two artists whose different expression will lead us into moments of comparison that will certainly enrich our cultural baggage is interesting.

There will be no shortage of other personalities who will enrich the evening with content.
