50 thousand tourists in Bari in 7 days, boom from Poland and France

There are approximately 50 thousand tourists registered in Bari on the PayTourist platform in the days between 3 and 10 May 2024 (data updated at 10.30 am).

This was communicated by the Municipality of Bari, highlighting that 20.97% comes from Italy, 13.04% from Poland, 10.05% from France, 5.19% from Romania, 4.98% from Bulgaria, 4.67% from Germany, 3.47% from the United States.

Then there is 2.77% from Spain, 2.69% from the United Kingdom, 2.24% from Hungary, 2.21% from the Netherlands, 1.99% from Brazil, 1.78% from Argentina. Finally, 1.5% of tourists were recorded from the Czech Republic, 1.43% from Australia, 1.28% from Austria, 1.15% from Slovenia, 1.14% from Canada, 1.12% from Switzerland and 1.06% from Belgium.
In the reference period the amount relating to the tourist tax is equal to 97,095 euros, which brings the revenues recorded from 1 October 2023 (date of establishment of the tax) to approximately one and a half million euros in total. The most represented age group is between 29 and 33 years (9.8%) followed by that between 54 and 58 years (9.15%), by that between 49 and 53 years (9.08%) and, equally (8.88%). ), from those 24-28 and 44-48 years. Almost half of the attendances were recorded in the city’s hotels.
