The regional project “Class mates” aimed at friendly classes YOU DOaims to promote knowledge, valorisation, use and care of the artistic and landscape assets of the area.
The initiative, based on enthusiasm and common commitment, involves schools in the knowledge and protection of their cultural heritage.
The FAI Friendly Classes of the Vittorio Emanuele III – Dante Alighieri Secondary School (2B 2C 2E 3B 3O 3P) have selected the Church of Santa Maria in Porta Santa as an artistic asset of interest in their territory. Therefore, within the project coordinated by prof. Leonardo Evangelistaon Friday 10 May the students of the classes involved in the initiative accompanied the visitors to discover a historical-artistic jewel of the city of Andria, the Church of Santa Maria in Porta Santa.
In this way, not only did the students deepen their knowledge of their heritage but they also became ambassadors of the territory and its peculiarities.
The “Classmates” project is proposed as a unique opportunity to actively involve students in the enhancement and protection of the cultural heritage of their territory, contributing to the formation of aware and responsible citizens.
