Goodbye to Gino Alessandro Andreini, the lawyer with the big Mazzinian heart

On Friday 10 May, on the eve of the re-enactments of the Risorgimento uprisings of May 1949, the lawyer passed away Gino Alessandro Andreini.
Born in Livorno in 1943, graduated in Law from the University of Bologna in 1972 and registered with the Livorno Bar Association since 1974, during his long career he has actively participated in various trials of national media resonance such as, among others, the “Moby Prince” Trial.
Passionate and great expert on the history of the Italian Risorgimento,

he has always professed and made his own the purest and most enlightened values ​​and ideals of Mazzinianism of which he was a fervent popularizer.
Over the years he founded both the School of Music and the Rodolfo del Corona Choirorganized numerous conferences linked to the Mazzinian Risorgimento, bringing together people of the caliber of Professors Denis Mack Smith, Michel Ostenc and Salvo Mastellone in Livorno and finally participated in the establishment of the Livorno Committee for the Promotion of Risorgimento Values.
His was the initiative to award Carlo Azeglio Ciampi the honorary membership card of the Livorno Section of the Mazzinian Association

and the ambitious project to bring Mazzini to Santa Croce in Florence, which he leaves as a legacy to the Friends who shared this long journey of life and passions with him.
The funeral will be held on Monday 13th at 11am at the Church of Soccorso in Piazza della Vittoria (formerly Piazza Magenta).
