Agrigento. He denounces his partner for mistreatment and sexual abuse: he retracts everything in the courtroom

She had reported her partner accusing him of mistreatment and sexually abusing her. But the couple then returned to live together and the woman, heard in an evidentiary incident, recanted everything. The examination of the alleged victim was held yesterday at the Court of Agrigento, in front of judge Micaela Raimondo and in the presence of the psychologist Daniela Pulci, the public prosecutor Elenia Manno, and the lawyer Monica Malogioglio, defender of the thirty-eight year old from Agrigento, under investigation for sexual violence and mistreatment. Listened to in a room adjacent to the classroom where the man was, she changed her version. The evidentiary incident was arranged to collect the testimony of the alleged victim, a thirty-seven year old, who reported the man with whom she had a romantic relationship about a year ago. The day before, an entrepreneur had gone to the police, saying that an employee of his company had heard the screams of a woman and had indicated the surveillance cameras from which the identity of the couple could be obtained. In fact, from viewing the images, the investigators traced back to what happened that day, namely that the woman on foot had been approached by a car, the make and license plate of which were evident, from which a young man had gotten out and had forced into the car. Once identified, the 37-year-old had made statements against the suspect, accusing him of mistreatment and having suffered sexual violence. Yesterday, however, she retracted the accusations. She also reiterated that she loved her partner and that she had returned to live with him in an apartment and that she had dismissed her complaint. In the next few days you will be heard by the psychologist appointed by the Court who will subject you to tests to assess your ability to testify.
