The prosecutor had asked for a 3-year sentence, but the Court, after having downgraded the initial charge to that of simple bankruptcy, requested by the defence, declared that the statute of limitations had expired. Thus ended the trial before the Court of Giovanni Zitano, called into question as the legal representative of ‘Maf Costruzioni’, a company that had been declared bankrupt in October 2014.

THEFT IN A TOBACCO BAR, COMPLAINT DISMISSED: TWO ACQUITTED
There is no place to proceed after the dismissal of the complaint. This is the sentence of the Court for Angelo Liberti (lawyer Fabio Russo), 42 years old, and Marco Chiariello (lawyer Massimiliano Cornacchione), 25 years old, from Benevento, accused of theft. The accusation related to an episode that occurred in October 2020, when a tobacconist bar in Ponte Valentino was targeted, from which 150 euros had been stolen. Liberti and Chiariello were stopped by the police in Apice, where they had eaten breakfast in a bar. The soldiers had traced back to them after viewing the images recorded by the commercial activity’s camera.
