The program of the day:

· – At 11:00, double presentation on the theme of gender violence: on stage Salvatore Blasco, deputy commissioner on duty at the Emilia Romagna traffic police department, with Blind Love – Diary of a police commissioner (the events of domestic violence with the narrative voice of the protagonist, a Calabrian commissioner of the Flying Squad who carries out investigations to get to the bottom of the crime) and Giorgia Piredda, an agent on duty in Milan, who with the partially autobiographical story Shipwrecked inside you, narrates the events of a young policewoman dealing with the testimonies of women victims of violence and her attempts to convince them to report.

· – The afternoon session was opened at 4.00 pm by the presentation of Checkmate – The king is dead, new novel by Rita Cascella, first manager of the Treviso police station, also author of “La stirpe di Ramfis”, which sees at the center of story the events of the bubbly commissioner Beatrice Pergolesi. In this new case she becomes interested in a new investigation involving a chess champion.

· – In closing, at 5.00 pm, it was the turn of Raffaele Iacaruso, deputy superintendent of the Novara forensics department, to talk about his new work Identikit of the invincibles – Il Grande Torino created with the author’s drawings made with a simple pen Bic; with his drawings, Iacaruso tells the legend of the “Invincibles” of Grande Torino which was interrupted on 4 May 1949 with the tragic plane crash on the Superga hill of which this year marks the 75th anniversary, also recently remembered in the first stage of the Giro d’Italia, which started from the Piedmontese capital, whose route included a passage through the crash site.

At the State Police exhibition area, it was also possible to learn more about the graphic novel Inspector Mascherpa, an editorial product of the Poliziamoderna magazine, now in its sixth volume, Christmas Fire, where Commissioner Diamante will have to investigate the murder of an entrepreneur killed with a Kalashnikov shot after his factory was set on fire, a real mafia-style warning. The comic, conceived as an educational vehicle of legality towards young people, is also an instrument of solidarity since the proceeds from the sale are destined for the Marco Valerio Plan, a project created to provide concrete support for the treatment of serious and chronic pediatric diseases in the children of employees of the State Police. At the stand it is possible to purchase the 6 volumes (The Silver Rose, Black Sea, Bandits, Onorata Sanità and The Return of the Scorpion and Christmas Fire) as well as Murky Waters and Big Game, volumes published in English.
