The first “real” edition of Italian Oyster Fest began with the ribbon cutting in the talk arena of Passeggiata Morin. At the opening, the public for special occasions and a remote message from Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry. An official edition one, which started today in Passeggiata Morin, following the “zero” edition in October in Calata Paita. All the institutions present took to the stage, and then proceeded to the official cutting of the ribbon followed by the first scheduled conference “Excellence from the Sea: Italian oysters and their ecosystemic and cultural importance in the Gal fish Liguria strategy”.
In his remote speech, Minister Lollobrigida: “Our farms must be supported and encouraged. We must think about how to invest also with regard to taxation which must not see a differentiation with other European nations. For now the country’s oyster production is not a main element, although a very important sector of our maritime economy on which our government is developing an attention that we believe has never been seen before. The focus is also on aquaculture and fishing which are at the center of a vision of our country being able to invest in quality”.
