Themes related to mobility, energy, environmental protection and the green transition they will be at the center of the “Monza Fast Future 2024“, The sustainability festival organized by the Municipality in collaboration with Pro Monza, the Epickonomia company, Asvis – Italian Alliance for Sustainable Development and the patronage of the Chamber of Commerce of Milan Monza and Brianza Lodi.

Monza Fast Future 2024: «Stimulating change towards a sustainable urban style»

There second editionwhich will be inaugurated Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th May with events scheduled in different places in the city, it will continue on Sunday 16 June and will end on 13 and 14 November in Villa Reale where, in conjunction with the European Mobility Week, representatives of institutions and businesses will meet.

Until then they will follow one another the thematic discussion tables in which the green excellence of our territory will be valorised and the prospects and objectives to be achieved in the attempt to reduce the environmental impact through the strengthening of the circular economy, the energy efficiency of buildings and the reduction of land consumption will be analysed.

Monza Fast Future 2024: events linked to the 2030 Zero Emissions Agenda

Scheduled events Saturday and Sunday will be dedicated, in particular, to some themes of the 2030 Zero Emissions Agendawith an eye on what Monza’s plan could be in the space of a few years and on the actions useful for orienting the change from a green perspective: on stage in Piazza Trento and Trieste not only will they rise representatives of the administration, companies, schools and associations, but also citizens who will be able to talk about their experiences of caring for the environment.

At the Legambiente stand it will also be possible to vote on the logo of Monza’s “climate strategy” project.
The promoters of the event will try to involve children and young people in the initiatives in order to transform the event into a «education engine starting from schools to help make Monza a virtuous example of a sustainable city».

Monza Fast Future 2024: 16 June for soft mobility

June 16th will be dedicated entirely to gentle mobility with an inspired event to the centenary of the construction of the Monza-Milan tramway depot in Bettola.

Monza Fast Future 2024: the program for Saturday 11 May

– Group rides for children and adults and in collaboration with the local police (with the new electric e-bikes or with your own vehicle). Departure from Piazza Trento e Trieste towards three places of interest: 11.30 Legambiente Oasis; 15 San Gerardo speed station; 4.30pm Itinerant Garden

– Painting and sculpture activities open to all, in collaboration with the Scuola Borsa. Exhibition of paintings by students of the Borsa School on the environment and views of Monza.

– Farmer for a day: 3-4pm, with the Monza Park Agricultural School. Recommended age: 5/10 years. Maximum number of participants: 15. Transplant and water. The children will sow a plant in the pot that they will take home.

– Recycling. Building nests for volatile fauna, 16-17, with the Monza Park Agricultural School. Recommended age: 5/10 years. Maximum number of participants: 15.

– Games and sounds in the square 2pm-4pm by Erewhon: games for children with objects made from recycled materials

– Bicycle ride for children organized with local police, Fiab and Legambiente:

– Ecological walk organized by Plastic Free, 10am – 12pm. Collection of cigarette butts in the city centre. For registration: plasticfreeonlus.it.

– “Bimbimbici” cycle ride towards the oasis of Piazza Castello, starting at 10.30. Children must be accompanied by an adult and arrive with their own bike. Recommended age: 4/11 years.

– Safe riding routes organized by FCI – Italian Cycling Federation. Gymkhana routes and safe cycling for children. Exhibition of historic bikes organized by Brianza d’Epoca

– Barter market and MemoRiciclo tournament for primary, secondary and secondary schools.
