This is what she received today from Hera la Matteo Nuti primary school in Fanoas the winner of the initiative Digi and Praise for the 2023/24 school year.

According to the initiative’s regulations, the school will now be able to use the sum to purchase, for example, touch monitors, interactive multimedia whiteboards, video projectors, notebooks, tablets, webcams, 3D printers, electronic microscopes. Or playful tools for learning, such as digital world maps, or coding systems: in short, no limits to teachers’ imagination.

The awards ceremony took place at the school itself, in the presence of the head teacher Silvia Faggi Grisons.

Since 2020, 44 schools have been awarded

Digi and Praise is the Hera Group initiative that combines green customer behavior and the promotion of digitalisation in local schools. Now in its fifth edition, since the 2019/20 school year (the year the project was launched) it has rewarded 44 schools in Marche and Abruzzo, distributing a total of 110,000 euros.

How does it work Digi and Praisethe initiative that encourages green behavior among families

The mechanism of Digi and Praise it’s very simple. Every time a Hera customer activates one of the free digital services, all with a positive environmental impact, he automatically contributes to increasing a score which is then divided among the schools in his municipality, resulting in a ranking. On the website http://digielode.gruppohera.it/, the customer can also decide to attribute their score to a specific school. In this case the points are multiplied by 5. The services that can be activated are digital self-reading, which allows you to have bills always aligned with real consumption, Fast Check-up of consumption, direct debit, electronic sending of the bill, downloading the My Hera app and registering for online services. These are services that, in addition to bringing greater convenience in managing supply, have a positive impact on the environment. For example, the Fast Check-up allows you to acquire immediate awareness of your domestic consumption, with a strong incentive to reduce it, the digital bill leads to paper savings, or, again, direct debit avoids having to travel to make payments .

The sustainable behaviors that can be activated also include signing up for Hera’s new programme, which through dedicated content and prize games rewards the sustainable actions of citizens (including non-Hera customers, in this case). In short, the green choices of customers correspond to a contribution from Hera to the education of boys and girls in our area: a win-win action in all respects, which contributes to achieving 5 of the 17 objectives of the UN Agenda for 2030 for the sustainable development of the Planet (“Quality education”, “Sustainable cities and communities”, “Industry, innovation and infrastructure”, “Responsible consumption and production”, “Partnership for the objectives”).

Electricity service with Gradual Protection: from 1 July 120,000 families in the Marche region who are Hera customers

The project Digi and Praise aims to further consolidate the Hera Group’s territorial roots in the Marche region, which sees the presence of 27 branches in the region, 14 of which in the province of Pesaro-Urbino.

This is an important widespread presence also in view of the launch, on July 1st, of the Gradual Protection Electricity Service (which will replace the current Greater Protection Service), which will be managed by Hera Comm throughout the region. In fact, the Company won the tender called at the end of 2023 by the Single Buyer for the management of the Gradual Protection electricity service in 37 Italian provinces, including the 5 in the Marche region. Therefore, from that date all approximately 120,000 families in the Marche region (of which approximately 25,000 in the province of Pesaro-Urbino) currently supplied with a Greater Protection electricity contract will become Hera Comm customers.

Gilberto Tinti: “a project that demonstrates the desire to be an increasingly local operator”

Digi and Praise it is a good example of how it is possible to create a concrete social and environmental impact, combining the energies of the Company and local communities”, explains Gilberto Tinti, Manager of the Marche and Abruzzo subsidiaries of Hera Comm. “The fact that the project has arrived in the Marche in its fifth edition, together with the vast network of branches throughout the territory, demonstrates well the desire to be increasingly a local energy operator, oriented towards proximity to citizens and their support with solutions capable of effectively improving the quality of life and the environmental profile of families”.
