The new one was delivered this morning mobile office supplied to the Local Police of Riminia vehicle equipped with latest generation technologies which represents an innovation in the panorama of services offered by the Local Police: a vehicle equipped with external cameras, computer and printer, which represents a mobile reference point for field agentsallowing efficient management of operations and direct and immediate contact with the community.
Equipped with seven cameras (4 external and 3 internal), the new mobile office, called PCO (Advanced Control Point), can be used as a support in road traffic checks, but also as a reference point for the safety of large tourist events as it can be placed in the center of an event and carry out the many functions of assistance and safety control.
The vehicle is able to connect to the new operations center and to the entire city video surveillance system, to monitor the cameras in the area, including the license plate control system. In addition to this, it can carry out all the functions carried out by the operations center in any position in the territory, such as answering calls and coordinating mobile radios, geolocating the patrols and thus making them intervene more quickly in the necessary place of intervention.
Added to these operations are all the other functions related to the management of emergencies in natural disasters as the vehicle is equipped with all the technology necessary to replace – in a very short time – the new operations center, even if it is not functioning.
Thanks to its versatility – underlines the Municipal Administration – the mobile office will allow the presence of the Local Police to be extended in various and different operational contexts. A presence that can be guaranteed not only in the most crowded areas, during summer events, but also in the most internal areas, located in the most peripheral neighborhoods, offering immediate protection and assistance services to all residents.
An important endowment to support the many services carried out in the area which adds to the well-known increase in the staffing of municipal uniforms, which will soon be assigned to the Local Police Force. In fact, the competition of the 7 inspectors selected to be employed in the coordination, both for the summer seasonal activity and for the supervision of the roads, has concluded in recent days. These seven new hires, expected in June, will then be followed by the hiring of 20 new agents for whom the public competition is taking place. Competition which initially consisted of 10 places, then doubled by the Council for greater and more widespread coverage of the municipal territory. The agents will be hired on a permanent “vertical cyclical part-time” contract lasting 6 months and will be engaged in the summer months.
