Pan Alfieri Cagliari – Volleyball Grosseto Luca Consani

Grosseto. Trip to Cagliari for the Volleyball Grosseto Luca Consani team, which at 4.00 pm on Saturday takes to the field in the Sardinian capital to play the last match that definitively closes the 2023/24 season, against Pan Alfieri. The Grosseto team will play without any particular worries, after having achieved mathematical salvation last week. This does not mean that they will not commit themselves, on the contrary. Poggetto and her teammates will do everything to end a season on a high note which sees them safe for two years in a row and which will allow president Riccardo Tinacci’s team to play again in the national Serie B/2 championship. It is also the last match of coach Rossano Rossi, after the press release from the Grosseto club sent during the week which states that the Grosseto coach will not be reconfirmed as head of the team for next season. The change on the B/2 bench was desired by both parties. Rossano Rossi will take care of the youth sector more closely, something he was not able to do fully during the current season. The Grosseto club, again in the same press release, writes that in a few days the new coach who will lead the women’s team in the next B/2 championship will be presented. “I conclude my journey at the helm of the team with the last match in Cagliari” comments the Grosseto coach, Rossano Rossi, on the eve of the match, adding “It was a good experience, but very trying. The line of these years has been to save ourselves and help young people grow, an objective which I think has been achieved. I will work in the youth sector and I am happy because it will be a stimulating experience. We leave for Cagliari on Saturday and will return in the evening. The team is calm and ready to play the match. We will take to the pitch calmly without any particular tension, while our opponents, third in the standings, are still in the running for the play offs and will try to win the three points at any cost” concludes coach Rossi. Massimo Galletti
