From the Far East, all is silent for now: no significant news on the future of Ancona, but this does not mean that those responsible are not taking action. The managing director Roberta Nocelli works in silence in Hong Kong together with the owner Tony Tiong, but at present there seems to be only one certainty and it corresponds to the name of Roberto Boscaglia: it is in fact no mystery that both agree on the fact that they want continue the adventure with Mr. Gelese and in the next few days, any moment could be the right one to make his confirmation official.
But to be able to embrace the Ancona project again next season, Boscaglia needs some certainties: first of all, technical guarantees, with the strengthening of the squad and the confirmation of the elements that have most distinguished themselves during the current year little finished. All topics that will be possible to discuss only after the new sporting director has been made official (the names are always those of Taibi, Mignemi and Ortoli), which is why it is still premature to talk about incoming movements: something, if anything, is starting to move outgoing .
This is the case of Alessandro Martina, whose contract expires on June 30th, who after a more than positive first season in the Doric jersey, experienced another more chiaroscuro season, but there is certainly no shortage of admirers in the category: among the teams that have expressed their interest in the red and white left back include Rimini and Vicenza, but also the newly promoted Trapani and Feralpisalò. Clearly these are only exploratory surveys, nothing more: we cannot yet talk about real negotiations, considering that the Serie C season has yet to end. The only certain thing is that Martina’s future will most likely be far from Ancona.
Not just the market and the corporate structure: there is perhaps an even more important match coming up, which concerns the sports centre. Among the topics touched upon by Nocelli and Tiong in the meeting in Hong Kong there is also this, considering that the president is expected in the city next month to meet the mayor Silvetti, and then proceed with the deed and the related payment by 30 June: the project, illustrated more than a year ago and which still represents the workhorse of the property, could soon finally come to life.
In short, several things are boiling in Ancona, but perhaps something more will be known only after the CEO returns from the other side of the world. In fact, there is anticipation for what will be the press conference through which Nocelli will take stock of the company’s objectives, in the short and long term.
