Organized by RCS, the event is included as a cycling touring event in the Italian Cycling Federation Calendar. Furthermore, for this year’s edition there is also an Abruzzo team – Enjoy Abruzzo – which aims to promote the regional territory. The eighth stage, 62.8 km long, will start from L’Aquila to reach Prati di Tivo.

Departure is scheduled from Piazza Duomo at 11 am. The Giro-E is based on the exclusive use of pedal-assisted racing bicycles (e-road bikes), approved and with 250W motors for a maximum speed limited to 25 km/h. “Thanks to E-bikes you can fully experience the emotion of the Giro rosa, retracing the same roads: only the start of each stage changes.
