The first meeting of CuoreZ3mendo, the first and only club of enthusiasts of the BMW Z3 model car in Italy (https://www.z3mendi.it/wp/), will take place on Sunday 12 May in Portofino, presented by the journalist Isabella Puma, with the following program:

The event is organized with charitable purposes in favor of the Casa Papa Francesco Foundation of Quercianella, in the province of Livorno: with the sum raised, concrete help will be given to the purchase of various goods for the needy children hosted in the structure managed by Sister Raffaella .

The Z3 is the greatest expression of the combination of art and power that was made on a BMW model in the late 1990s. More than 20 years after its entry into production, the Z3 model still has many admirers and clubs of enthusiasts located all over the world, from America to Japan, also passing through Italy, land of engines and historical tradition in the sector . Creating something unique, something that wasn’t there, this was the intent that brought a group of friends together in 2003: all united by their “passion” for the BMW Z3, they quickly understood that this wasn’t supposed to be a club of cars, but the club of the Z3s, of the Z3mendi. Since then Z3mendi has been the undisputed Italian point of reference for owners of BMW Z3 roadsters and coupés. The name is the result of the union of the acronym Z3 and the word tremendi, it indicates at the same time the desire not to take oneself too seriously, because being together is also and above all wanting to have fun. Precisely this desire to have fun meant that our arrival on the scene revolutionized the way of conceiving a club for car enthusiasts. The BMW Z3 made history, the Z3mendi continue in its footsteps! The Z3mendi Club was unofficially born on 1 June 2003 during a gathering of 13 cars held on the hills of Bologna. Since then, more and more enthusiasts have wanted to be part of it and share their passion with more and more people. After 20 years of activity, the club’s numbers speak for themselves… more than 300 members per year, more than 3000 members of the forum, more than 2000 Facebook users, more than 120 cars that meet at the club’s official meeting every year, these are numbers that do not leave doubts about the passion that this car generates in its admirers. The members who are part of the club are people of all ages, from all territorial origins and from all social strata, united “only” by the desire to be together and the passion for their cars. The latter is difficult to describe in words, you just have to try it. The goal is to please “young kids” with a machine that is no longer young, combining passion with the discovery of the Italian territory with its cultural and gastronomic heritage through national gatherings. On 7 February 2008 the Club, by affiliating with CSEN, became an Amateur Sports Association: from this date now engraved in our hearts, the Z3mendi club officially became the BMW Z3 club in Italy. In 2008, with the establishment of the association, the “Cuore Z3mendo” project was born, strongly desired by all the club members to crown the desire of many to transform an event of pure fun into a unique event. Thanks to the contribution of supporters, sympathizers and members of the club, this aims to raise funds for the purchase of equipment, medical instruments, furnishings to be donated to institutions, associations, hospitals rooted in the territory (and not only) that it hosts from time to time the rally turns. In particular, we would like to remember the Andrea Bocelli Foundation ABF, the Meyer osp. Pediatric Hospital of Florence, the Abeo of Verona, AVSI distance adoptions, NPH ITALIA Francesca Rava Foundation, Cuore di Massa Pediatric Hospital, Cisanello Hospital, Versilia Single Hospital, Lucca and Barga Hospitals and last but not least the Bio Medico Hospital Rome Campus, AGBALT onlus (Association of Parents of Children Sick with Leukemia and Cancer), APAN (Friends of the Newborn Association of Pisa) and aid for the earthquake in central Italy. The peculiarity of the project is that it has as a rule not to donate money, but to purchase with the proceeds of the rally equipment or tangible goods identified by the body chosen by the club as the objective of the national rally.
