The people of Bari will not be able to “free themselves” from the ruins on the seafront, from north to south, even this summer. The former Il Trullo lido was already entrusted last year to Zen srl, the company that manages the Baia Verde beach in Gallipoli, but the works have yet to begin. The services conference is underway to validate the project with the opinions of the individual bodies involved. The interventions could therefore not start before the summer. The project involves the creation of a restaurant and bar with tables and chairs also outside, a common area equipped for games and leisure, space reserved for umbrellas, deckchairs and sunbeds, cabins, bathrooms, showers, rest area in the shade for the disabled, wooden platforms and walkways capable of guaranteeing full accessibility of the entire area, solarium. In place of the cabins, small easily removable wooden structures and shade cloths will be positioned. All the structures will be placed in a suitable position to produce the least visual impact and clutter for free transit towards the sea and will be accompanied by green furnishing elements. The bathing establishment will be equipped with a manual fire alarm system and an emergency lighting system.
There is also a wait for the Reef also on the seafront to the south. The commission should proceed with the final award by May: three offers were received, Biancofiore Srl, pizzeria Borgo Antico, Burrata Bar srl. Here the new concessionaire will always have to allocate the business to bar and restaurant activities with an annual fee based on the tender of 13,604.74 euros. The expected duration of the concession ranges from a minimum of 12 to a maximum of 15 years.
However, there is nothing to be done for the former Mitiladriatica, the ruin on the Santo Spirito seafront that the Municipality has already tried twice to put out to tender, but without success. The last tender was also deserted.
