After the second semi-final, all the finalists were announced, joining the Big Five, including Italy with Angelina Mango, and Sweden, the winner of the last edition.
Eurovision 2024 began and after the second semi-final all the finalists were chosen. The 20 countries that access the final episode on Saturday 11 May join the Big Five, the five countries that already have automatic access to the final, and the host country, winner of the last edition.

Below are all the countries that, after the two semi-finals, were awarded the opportunity to compete in the final of the Eurovision Song Contest:

Who are the Big Five
They are part of the Big Five category Italy, Spain, France, Germany and the United Kingdom“privileged” countries in the European artistic competition as they have historically been the first to support the European Broadcasting Union from an economic point of view and still contribute a large part today.

Because Angelina Mango is already in the final
For Angelina Mango, therefore, the final is assured, given that the Italian singer, winner of the last edition of the Sanremo Festival last February, will represent Italy at Eurovision 2024 and therefore already has automatic access to the final evening of Saturday 11 May. Despite that Angelina Mango performed before the final anywayprecisely in the second semi-final on Thursday 9 May, broadcast on Rai2 and streaming on RaiPlay starting from 9pm.
Sweden also performs on Saturday 11 May
In addition to the five “founding” countries which therefore have automatic access to the Eurovision final, the rules of the event provide for the addition of the winning country of the previous edition of the event. If last year it was Ukraine’s turn, after the victory in Turin in 2022, this year it’s Sweden’s turnfollowing Loreen’s win last year.
