The Serie C regular season ended on April 28th, but already a few weeks before Toasts, newly promoted in the category, was relegated to Serie D after just one season among the pros. Leading the team for the first part of the season is mister Ciro Danucciwho terminated his contract with the club last March, and today spoke to the microphones of seried24.com to look back on the season that was: “Brindisi was the worst management in the history of the Lega Pro. Talking about football makes no sense given everything that happened. I didn’t deserve such terrible management, considering everything we did last year with enormous sacrifices. The unpaid wages and constant problems of managing daily life make it clear that in the end the football played takes second place in certain situations. When you get to the stadium and the boys talk about refunds and rents everything becomes much more complicated”.
Then speaking about his future: “I have received several proposals. I want to evaluate carefully and choose the project that best suits my way of seeing football. I would like to stay in Serie C because Brindisi didn’t give me the chance to express myself.”
