OSIMO – The solidarity biscuit factory based in Osimo, Frolla, is leaving for a new event beyond national borders, this time in the United States. «Here we are, the journey starts today that will have one of our delegations flying to Boston for a beautiful project of integration and sharing between the two countries – explains cofounder Jacopo Corona -. In fact, we will be guests of Collette DiVitto and her of Collettey’s Cookies, a large American company that makes biscuits like us and which is a great inclusive model known throughout the country. Ours will not be a simple visit, we will in fact exchange knowledge, ideas and experiences to create the first biscuit capable of creating a bridge between the two countries and placing the emphasis on abilities and not disabilities. Fasten your seatbelts with us “shortbread biscuits” and get ready to follow our first stars and stripes adventure, ready to change the world together with sweetness, or as Collette says, one biscuit at a time.” The cookie of inclusion is a story that mixes the desire for integration, the determination and skills of those kids with a winning business model that focuses on quality. The dream of the two founders has been transformed into a reality that now involves 30 people, each with their own skills and abilities, ready to change the world with gentleness.
The new bar
The “Girardengo” cycle/pedestrian path in Campocavallo will soon have a refreshment area, a small bar where you can take a break surrounded by greenery or have breakfast after sporting activity. It will be built in the shed located near the car park of the new calisthenics fountain area, where the sacred aedicule was inaugurated last year and the light points placed by the Goddess recently. A lack, that of a refreshment point, which will be filled thanks to the foresight of a true Osimano entrepreneur linked to his land, Franco Catena, right in Frolla. In January the cooperative launched a fundraiser to expand its business and open a new laboratory with a sales point in addition to the historic one in San Paterniano. So the cooperative’s attention was focused on the building.
