New appointment Saturday 11 May at 6.30pm with Playlist Rossini. A year-long concert, a project conceived by the Rossini Opera Festival on the occasion of Pesaro, Italian Capital of Culture 2024. Every Saturday the entire Rossini opera repertoire is performed with a special series of 39 concerts from the balcony of Gioachino Rossini’s birthplace, each dedicated to an opera by the composer from Pesaro, performed by former students of the Accademia Rossiniana “Alberto Zedda”.

This time there will be extracts from Aureliano in Palmira, serious drama for music in two acts with a libretto by G. Felice Romani, performed for the first time at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan on 26 December 1813.

The protagonist singers of the concert will be Lara Lagni (soprano) and Marta Pluda (mezzo-soprano), accompanied by the pianist Claudia Foresi. On the program is Zenobia’s Aria «Là pugnai; fate smiled», From Terzetto «Mille sospiri e lagrime» and From Gran Scena di Arsace «Ah! I can’t: to my treasure.”

The project is carried out in collaboration with the Municipality of Pesaro, the Pescheria Foundation, the Rossini Foundation and the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra.
