THE FULL SHOW OF THE FRECCE TRICOLORI WILL ALSO BE PERFORMED ON SATURDAY 11 MAY FOR THE GENERAL TESTS.
Sunday 12 May, for the first time in Trani, the National Acrobatic Team will perform a complete acrobatic show as part of the “Trani AirShow”.
The event will be enriched, already in the morning of 11 May, in Piazza del Plebiscito, from an exhibition space in which a stand of the Rivista Aeronautica will be set up for all the most passionate readers, a stand dedicated to Virtual Reality and a flight simulator (faithful reproduction of a real cockpit of an MB339, the Frecce Tricolori aircraft), as well as a stand of the Opera Nazionale dei Figli degli Aviatori (ONFA) for a fundraiser in favor of the heirs of those killed in service of the AM.
There National Acrobatic Team – in the only stop in southern Italy for 2024 – will propose its complete aerobatic program, then presented in all the performances of the season, which this year also includes a series of air shows in Canada and the United States as part of the North Atlantic Tour.
It will be possible to watch the acrobatics of the 313th Acrobatic Training Group starting from 3.30 pm on Sunday 12 May, in the area of the Sanctuary of Santa Maria di Colonna. The PAN show will be preceded by the passage of a majestic tricolor over the event area, towed by the military helicopter HH139 of the 15th Wing – 84th SAR Centre (Search and Rescue – Search and Rescue), based in Gioia del Colle (BA), which will also carry out a demonstration of recovery of an injured person through the use of the winch, and by the overflight of two Eurofighters of the 36th Wing of Gioia del Colle. The previous day, at the same time and with the identical methods as the official show, general rehearsals will be carried out without the use of colored fumes.
On Saturday 11th, starting from 6.00 pm in the council room of Palazzo Palmieri, the honorary citizenship to the Air Forcewhich will be followed, at 7.00 pm in Piazza Quercia, by the concert of the Fanfare of the School Command/3rd Air Region directed by the 1st Lieutenant Maestro Nicola Cotugno, in collaboration with the tango academy “ASD PARA DOS TANGO” and the “SOUTH DANCE CENTER” dance studio.
