A 68-year-old woman was seriously injured wound to escape a fire which spread this morning in home, around 5.30 am, in via Orsa Maggiore, in the hamlet of Cozze (Mola). The woman is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis in the Polyclinic of Bari, after she fell into the void to try to save herself from the fire in her home in Mola di Bari, in the Bari area.
The flames, which broke out around half past five in the morning today, apparently started from the kitchen of the house where the victim lives. The 68-year-old, left stuck by the fire and the smoke it unleashed, looked out of the bathroom window to ask for help. A neighbor intervened to help her but in her haste the woman lost her balance and fell a few meters. She was transported in code red by the 118 staff to the Bari Polyclinic. In addition to the carabinieri, the Bari firefighters intervened on site and put out the fire and made the house safe.
