During services aimed at preventing and repressing the phenomenon of gamble and of clandestine bettingprepared by the Police Commissioner of Catania Giuseppe Bellassai, the Administrative Team agents of the Police Headquarters, carried out tests checks at a cultural association in the “San Cristoforo” district.
The operators, entering the building, headquarters of the cultural association, they found 7 electronic gaming machines of the prohibited type, installed and functioningwhich visualized the game of poker and slot machines.
Therefore, electronic gaming machines were subjected to administrative seizure and towards the president they were elevated 14 fines for an administrative offence, as provided for by the Consolidated Law on Public Security, for a total amount of 77 thousand euros.
The president of the association, a 56 year old from Catania, invited to the offices of the Administrative Police of the Police Headquarters was reported to the competent Judicial Authority for the crime of failure to display the prohibited games table.
