Caracciolo in Treviso to talk about “Italy in the changing world”

Next May 15th at 6pm, in the church of San Teonisto, the public meeting “Italy in the changing world” will be held, in which Lucio Caracciolo, founder and director of Limes, Fabrizio Maronta, head of editorial and international relations of Limes, and Massimiliano Valerii, general director of Censis.

Among the topics that will be covered: an overview of the current international moment with the help of Limes cartography; the geoeconomic and technological implications of the main open fronts, in particular the Ukrainian conflict and the China-United States “trade war”; causes and consequences of the acute Italian demographic problem, with its implications for the future of the country.

Promoting the meeting, with free entry with booking on Evenbrite, are Fondazione Imago Mundi, Arper, CentroMarca Banca and Scuola di Limes, which are launching, with this event, the partnership “Italy in the changing world” aimed at supporting of young people eager to deepen their knowledge and skills in the field of geopolitics. In fact, Imago mundi, Cmb and Arper have allocated 15,000 euros to support three young people from the Treviso area, enrolled at the Limes School. The recipients were selected by the Limes School among those already enrolled in the course, on the basis of the Curriculum vitae already sent during the registration phase.

The collaboration between Fondazione Imago Mundi, Arper, CentroMarca Banca and Scuola di Limes will continue in the coming months, with the aim of exploring new opportunities and planning new initiatives together. The desire is to expand the collaboration to other entities in the business and cultural world that are convinced that “in the current international context, in which the political borders between states are not sufficient to delineate interests and areas of influence, it becomes increasingly difficult distinguish plots and networks of relationships. In this situation, geopolitical analysis, as promoted by the Limes School, helps to make sense of the apparent chaos that surrounds us, introducing an element of reflection and thoughtfulness into a public debate often dominated by emotion and media compulsion”.

“With this collaboration, the Imago Mundi Foundation intends to confirm its commitment to narrating geopolitics through contemporary art – states artistic director Enrico Bossan -, and expand its network of relationships, proposing new perspectives on the crucial themes of our time”.

Claudio Feltrin, chairman of the Board of Arper, comments: “I believe that investing in culture, training and education is fundamental for the social and economic progress of our community; Like Arper, we are excited to partner with other local businesses to invest in young minds and foster a shared vision of positive change through knowledge and understanding of the world around us.”

“The partnership places young people at the center of its mission, to whom CentroMarca Banca has always reserved particular attention, with investments and projects aimed at their well-being, their growth, the realization of their ideas – comments the president of CentroMarca Banca, Tiziano Cenedese -. We already do many initiatives for students here, in our area, with this we are participating in a very high level training activity.”

Imago Mundi Foundation is a non-profit institution that was founded in 2018 as an evolution of the Imago Mundi collection, started by Luciano Benetton in 2008, and aims to be a new catalyst for artistic expressions and cultural ferment in a highly interconnected world. The underlying theme of the Foundation’s research is the story of the stimulating and articulated complexity of our times through contemporary art. For six years the Foundation has had its home at the Gallerie delle Prigioni, in Treviso, which are the venue for exhibitions, meetings, debates, aimed at encouraging dialogue between cultures and contamination between different knowledge.

Arper is a global design brand that creates products for every lifestyle. Founded in Italy in 1989 by the Feltrin family, it offers, through empathetic and long-lasting solutions and products, a perspective of the contemporary way of life, which expresses the need for fluidity and versatility. The company views design through the lens of the project of living, a strategic approach that explores the application of versatile furnishings that adapt perfectly to all the different daily activities and the many spaces in which we carry them out.

Sustainability plays a central role for Arper, which aims to become an example of responsible business leadership by integrating sustainability into the organisation’s culture, as well as processes and products.

CentroMarca Banca, founded in 1892, has a long history behind it, made up of unions with other Rural Banks and Cooperative Credits in the province of Treviso and Venice which have allowed it to accompany numerous families and businesses in the area in their growth. CMB is above all a different Bank in terms of values, way of operating, and approach to the individual and the community. As Credito Cooperativo it supports associations and local authorities by reinvesting part of the profits in the territory in which it operates. CMB is also oriented towards leading the transformation of sustainable and socially inclusive change in the development models of its local community.

The Limes School provides the basis for understanding how the main world powers think and decide, to understand their strategies and tactics in ongoing games. It conveys an alternative way of observing the world. Always starting from the Italian national interest. The Limes School is open to all age groups. It is divided into junior class and senior class. Undergraduates, recent graduates, young workers, public and private managers, entrepreneurs, state officials, teachers, professionals, finance operators are selected. Geopolitics is multidisciplinary by nature. The composition of the classes is also this way, to draw on the widest possible range of knowledge. The School is open to anyone with an interest and passion for its approach, for state affairs, for the international projection of Italian companies.
