“We continue to throw mud at ASReM. Once again the Molise Regional Health Authority, with extreme bitterness, finds itself hit by biased news despite its full availability to discuss and resolve any problem”.
And what Asrem reports in a note, which adds: “In the program ‘Fuori dal coro’, broadcast on the Mediaset networks, on the evening of last May 8, a report was in fact broadcast regarding the ‘waiting lists in Molise’ manipulated in its integrity. At the same time, the journalist Natasha Farinelli dealt with the issue by omitting words and facts recorded on the occasion of her arrival in the region on Monday 6 May 2024. The correspondent, after having gone to Termoli, taking charge of the difficulty of some patients in booking performance at the CUP, arrived in Campobasso where she was welcomed into ASReM to collect, without having to hide anything, the declarations of the Strategic Management on the difficulties that afflict the whole of Italy in managing the waiting lists. The administrative director, Grazia Matarante, responded to all the journalist’s questions in a long interview and underlined the enormous work that ASReM has been carrying out in recent months to dispose of the long lists, to redefine agendas, to ensure prescriptive appropriateness. On the sidelines, journalists and operators were accompanied to the CUP counters of the capital’s headquarters, to demonstrate that in Molise the services are guaranteed and that if an exam, a visit, or anything else, cannot be carried out at a certain structure, or in a certain place, in due time, the user is transported, in institutional mode, elsewhere, but always within the regional territory, in order to take advantage of the service as per the code inserted on the request. All this, however, absolutely did not emerge in the contribution broadcast on Rete 4. On the contrary, an incorrect message was conveyed and the work and image of a company that is doing everything to meet the population’s care needs were damaged. Reason why – he adds – ASReM itself has decided to warn the editorial staff of the program ‘Fuori dal coro’ so that, with the guaranteed and due right of reply, it broadcasts Dr. Matarante’s interview in full and the recordings at the two stations CUP, that of Termoli and that of Campobasso. Last but not least, it will mandate its lawyers to take legal action to resolve the case, as per recent resolution no. 693 of 4 May 2024” concludes the note sent to the press.
