To announce it stop of trains on the route connecting Vicenza to Verona they are the Regional Councilors of the PD, who posed a question to the regional councilor for Infrastructure and Transport.
“The TAV is a strategic work and therefore the work must proceed quickly and without hitches. While we understand that August is the month with the least number of users, it is necessary to avoid penalizing commuters and tourists, precluding them from the possibility of moving from one city to another”.
“In this sense, maximum clarity is needed on what could happen and that the Region therefore takes action in time, ensuring services. We will question Councilor De Berti to understand if, for example, it has been evaluated a distribution of interventions during the night, so as to create the least possible inconvenience in an area where suppressions and inefficiencies have worsened over the months. Just think of the suppression, from July 2023, of the Lonigo stop for four regional trains on the Venice Santa Lucia-Verona Porta Nuova route. We believe we should avoid further burdening citizens’ work and travel needs as much as possible.”
The interruption is expected in the first weeks of the month and around August, when many companies are closed and traffic is reduced. There is still no official confirmation from the Italian Railway Network, but the source is still reliable.
