The FORM in Fano: you dream with Venti del Nord between the notes of Grieg and Sibelius

The symphonic season of the Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra ends with a fantastic musical flight to Scandinavia, with the violinist So Young Lee and the conductor Enrico Lombardi. Appointment Tuesday 14 May in Fano

Last program of the FORM symphony season. The musical geographies of the Marche Philharmonic Orchestra once again accompany the public on a wonderful journey which, starting in January from the Vienna of Haydn, Beethoven and Brahms, between the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, arrives in the Scandinavian lands with North winds.

A fascinating concert, scheduled for Tuesday 14 May at the Teatro della Fortuna in Fano at 9pm, dedicated to the two greatest Scandinavian composers, the Norwegian Edvard Grieg and Finnish Jean Sibelius, with famous masterpieces performed by two very talented young artists: the violinist So Young Lee (photo below)awarded in 2023 at the Postacchini Competition in Fermo, and the director Enrico Lombardi (photo above).

The program is a fantastic musical flight to discover an uncontaminated, wild, mysterious nature: a stimulating nature that has led man, who is immersed in it, to try to establish new boundaries and areas of knowledge.

And so with Grieg we revisit it, in the Holberg Suiteeighteenth-century Norway, cultured and popular at the same time, and then dreaming, in the first suite from Peer Gynt, adventurous journeys in the dark kingdom of the Trolls among enchanting northern dawns. Finally, with Sibelius, in the splendid Violin Concertoone of the most singular violin concerts of the entire century, flocks of cranes chase each other and “sail in full music”.

The concert is organized in collaboration with the Antiqua Marca Firmana Cultural Center – Andrea Postacchini Festival and with the Teatro della Fortuna Foundation.
