Rome, ingests drugs to escape control and feels ill on the street: 27-year-old dies

A 27-year-old boy died today in Quarticciolo, Rome, after ingesting drugs to escape a check. The alarm went off around 2pm when a passerby noticed the boy feeling ill in the street, in via Manfredonia.

Help was useless for him. The police and 118 personnel were on site. The witness explained to the officers that the boy had told him that he had ingested the drug to avoid an inspection by the financial police in nearby Via Ostuni. The investigations revealed that, in fact, he had been checked around 1.30pm in the nearby street and that he was fine.

The investigations

MDV, these are the 27-year-old’s initials, was already known to the police. The boy’s body was made available to the judiciary for an autopsy. The type of substance ingested must also be understood. The police will now investigate to understand who gave the dose to the man.

The drug dealing area

The Quarticciolo area has been in the sights of the police for some time due to frequent drug dealing activity. It was in via Manfredonia that cocaine was recently found hidden under the doormats for trafficking, just as raids were also carried out in via Ostuni.
