May 9th, the day of Aldo Moro’s murder, is the day dedicated to the victims of terrorism. For the occasion, Casa della Memoria commemorates the victims with a series of initiatives.
The day will actually begin in Rome where a Brescia delegation will participate in the commemoration in the Senate, in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella. The Brescia senator Alfredo Bazoli will speak on this occasion.
TO Brescia the commemoration ceremony will be held in Brescia in front of the stele of the fallen in Piazza della Loggia starting from 12 with the blessing of the Vicar General Monsignor Gaetano Fontana, followed by speeches by the President of the Province Emanuele Moraschini and the Mayor Laura Castelletti.
The Vanvitellian Hall of Palazzo Loggia from 5.30 pm will host the book presentation «Stories of rights and democracy – The Constitutional Court in society». The authors Giuliano Amato and Donatella Stasio will be present.
The day will end at 8pm at the Teatro Grande with the commemorative concert. Conducted by Tito Ceccherini, the Italian Youth Orchestra will perform an unpublished score by Mauro Montalbetti.
