Sunday (12 May) at 5pm at the Casa del Popolo in Verciano Massimiliano Piagentini will present the book Defending Lucca from Casapound.

A neo-fascism that changes its name but not its skin, that is photographed smiling in institutional poses and on social media while in practice it spreads its mephitic poison steeped in racism, homophobia and violence.”
“In November 2021, the Facebook page ‘Defending Lucca from CasaPound’ was born – we read in the book -. The intent was to collect interviews, photos and other material regarding local neo-fascists who – not coincidentally – were disappearing from the internet. With the victory of the far right in the municipal elections in June 2022, the need to tell and denounce the acts and behaviors of the new council and of the openly fascist councilor who is part of it has been added to the original purpose, from the most worrying to the most embarrassing . The book, in addition to summarizing all this, recalls episodes from the past that are linked to the present.”
