Exclusive presentations by Apt Basilicata at the Turin Book Fair

Unpublished works and valorisation of Lucanian culture highlighted at the prestigious literary event

At the Turin Book Fair, the Basilicata Apt will unveil new publications, including unpublished works by Rocco Scotellaro and works that explore the intertwining of landscape and Lucanian art. Events include meetings with authors and presentations of comic stories.

The Apt Basilicata participates in the Turin Book Fair, presenting six new publications that highlight the culture and art of the region. Among the key events, on Friday 10 May at 3pm, the presentation of the volume “La sola cura” by Giuseppe Palumbo, published by Oblomov, will illustrate the life of Ludovico Nicola Di Gura, a Lucanian doctor who lived between imperial and republican China.

Saturday will see the presentation of three unpublished volumes dedicated to Rocco Scotellaro, famous poet and mayor of Tricarico, born one hundred years ago. The works, edited by Franco Vitelli, Giulia Dell’Aquila and Sebastiano Martelli, explore different sides of the poet, from his political commitment to the representation of southern peasant life.

In the afternoon, Apt Basilicata will introduce the volume “Basilicata. Curiosities of art crossing the Lucanian villages” by Gabriele Scarcia, which offers a journey through the art and history of the villages of the region.

Saturday’s agenda will conclude with a dialogue between the cartoonists Igort and Andrea Ferraris and the general director of Apt Basilicata, Antonio Nicoletti, focused on the AlterLinus anthologies and the comic book story by Di Gura, a symbol of the intercultural dialogue promoted by Basilicata.
