Mind has reached ten thousand visitors a day. This is one of the results of the development of the Milan Innovation District presented in the second edition of the Mind Annual Report, which saw the participation of all the district’s partners, in addition to the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti, the President of Lombardy Attilio Fontana and the Mayor of Milan Giuseppe Sala. The Mind Annual Report was presented on the occasion of the second edition of Mind Innovation Week, the annual format dedicated to the great themes of our time which gives voice to all the players in the Mind ecosystem.
“Mind is the emblem of an urban regeneration project capable of building the conditions for organic development from an economic, social and civil perspective – said the Minister of Economy Giancarlo Giorgetti in the opening message of the works – The realization of the scientific infrastructures, the establishment of economic operators and the private development of the area. Mind’s ability to have brought forward these dimensions together meets the best international standards of urban regeneration.
It is an example to be replicated. The results achieved are the merit of a strategic partnership between public and private, which passed through the selection of Lendlease for the approval of the integrated plan in 2020 and the Mef continues its commitment to this project starting from Arexpo, for more than ten years now, the director of Mind. Competition in the challenge of global innovation is increasingly played out between places, or between individual territorial ecosystems. Mind is the example that in this challenge Italy has all the cards to play and continue to be successful.”
