The Department of Tourism, Mobility and Territorial Marketing has published the Notice, for prior information, by 2.4 million euros from 2014-2020 CAP funds for the financing of important tourist events and events in the three-year period 2024-2026. Events must stand out for their uniqueness, attractiveness and ability to involve resources and partnerships, as well as incentivize private sponsorship.
The objective of the Notice is to promote the image and brand of Calabria, enriching the tourist offer with initiatives aimed at different visitor targets, promoting the internationalization of the sector and generating socio-economic and cultural impacts.
The project proposals concern two types of events: those valuable tourismwhich must demonstrate consolidated success with at least two editions in the last five years, for a maximum grantable contribution of 200,000 euros and those innovative and experimentalcharacterized by new methods of performance, involvement of the public, use of technologies and artistic contaminations, for a maximum grantable contribution of 80,000 euros.
Public bodies, foundations, cultural associations, businesses and cooperatives operating in the tourism sector can apply. It is allowed a single grant application per subject and those who have benefited for the year 2024, for the same event/programme/show or part of it, from contributions and/or benefits in any form provided by the Calabria Region or by other subjects participated by the Calabria Region cannot participate. .
The overall financial endowment is 2.4 million eurosof which 2 million euros for prestigious events and 400,000 euros for innovative and experimental ones.
